Anyone know of good exotic/reptile veterinarians in the Evansville/Newburgh area?
Michelle G. replied:
I'd recommend Dr. Butler at http://www.amsvet.com/ I took my tegu to him recently and he knew just how to handle a large lizard and how to do a good wellness check on the tegu. He used to be an exotics vet at a zoo, so he definitely knows what he's doing.

I second Dr. Kilbane. He's wonderful and so knowledgeable. 8124021111

Anyone have a suggestion for a good Veterinarian on the east side or Newburgh? Need a groomer and boarding services to. Thanks !
Brittany M. replied:
We just started taking our dog to the Animal Care Clinic in Newburgh. Super nice! I don't know if they have grooming or boarding but I've never asked them that. We usually go to Spoiled Rotten on Morgan for grooming.

https://mobile.carecredit.com/ Most vets take this card these days.....I'm 90% sure the Emergency vet does.
Jennifer H. replied:
Only vet open is All Pet Emergency Clinic. You can get care credit to cover her bill and make payments on that but if you cant get approved then maybe try having someone else apply
Lauren B. replied:
APEC. I can't say enough good things about them. Dr. Wagner and staff are wonderful. If you can't get CareCredit, have someone else try.
Melissa Y. replied:
Bree Dawn if you can afford for All Pet to keep your pet over night I'd suggest it and then you can move him or her to Fort Branch in the morning. They offer a credit option that is pretty easy to be approved for
Does anyone know a good vet to take chinchillas to? I went to east side animal hospital for his first tooth issue and now he has a different one, they did an ok job but...
Jordan T. replied:
They treat cats, dogs, horses, goats, sheep, llamas, and rabbits. I would just ask them about the chinchilla though since they treat so many different types of animals. It's called Hilltop Veterinary Services and their number is 812-544-2238. Their hours are from eight to five tomorrow so it wouldn't hurt to call.
does anyone know of an after hour vet? My puppy is acting weird and would like to have he checked out tonight, but every place I find is already closed.
Well, we've gone and done it- Merry Christmas Beck kids! Now, fb friends, who can recommend a good vet? Preferably on the east side.
Jennifer L. replied:
My cousin Dr. Rita Johnson has her own Vet clinic but it's on HWY 65 (west side) but she's awesome!!!
Larry T. replied:

Does anyone know who A. Alexander is, a supposed veterinarian at Liberty Vet Clinic, Boonville, Indiana, the vet clinic used by Warrick County Animal Control?
Sharon M. replied:
I have before and after pictures and the veterinary receipt of the neuter done on him 3-4 weeks before the mutilation. He received all of his vaccinations and rabies shot before the incident too. I also still have Dr. Alexanders explanation of the procedure she did to him and the meds she sent home with him. Despicable
Sharon M. replied:
I helped a young couple neuter their pit bull puppy. He was safely and easily neutered by my rescue vet and then he was tattooed on his right inner thigh with green ink tattoo. A few weeks later he was regrettably surrendered to Warrick Animal Control because the kids that bought him, were not caring for him. He had been there a week and his picture was never posted as available for adoption. Once I had learned of Hammer being given to WCAC, I warned his owners that they had put that puppy in harms way. So they went back to get him and they would not return the pup and it wasn't at WCAC. He went back again the next day and was told that his pup was at the vet, that he had a very serious defect and was in surgery at Liberty Vet. Hammer was then picked up at the vet. He was found to be very depressed and in pain. His owners looked at his belly and he had 3 different incisions on him, one jagged cut to his umbilical area and 2 horrid slices down both sides of his inner thigh. One side the nipple and the green "neuter tattoo" had been cut off. The other side was a crooked jag with watery blood running out the side. He was extremely bruised in all three entry wounds. The owners asked what they had down to Hammer. Dr. Alexander told them that he had a serious condition as a chryptorchid and that they had to perform invasive surgery to get his testicles out. He had already been neutered 3-4 weeks prior, with green tattoo and scrotum incision quite visible. Then they charged Hammer's family $60 for their brilliant mutilation of his body. Just totally sick!
Sharon M. replied:
Dr. Schnell gave shots when I came.
Sharon M. replied:
Shelter animals in this area will continue to be viewed as commodities and sources of donation revenue while their lives and health are in danger. Nothing will change or get better for the critters as long as poor practices continue. Liberty Vet was opened by Dr. Schnell, a career vivisectionist who closed up his research lab in Pennsylvania and moved to this area. It concerns me that this pit puppy was put through an unnecessary surgery for reasons that were NOT health related. Individuals in rescue that support these practices and "look the other way" are promoting cruelty.
