Hi, single mom new to the area with 11 year old child. This is a repost because I can't find my original... looking for doctor recommendations in the area, an internist...
Revi G. replied:
North Jersey Pediatrics is amazing! And for internist: Dr. Nina Safa in Fair Lawn! I just recommended her to one of my closest friends!! She's amazing! She's a great diagnostician, so lovely, super thorough, she listens, she's approachable, and you never feel rushed. Definitely call and see when you can get in; I had to wait 4 weeks for my first appointment. She requires all new patients to come in for a complete physical one week before she sees you. So in August I went for the labs and then a week later I had my appointment. She's on Broadway. https://sovereignhealthsystem.com/shmg.../nina-safa-md.html
Christie W. replied:
Bergen West Pediatrics in Wyckoff are fantastic. Drs. Triggs and Feinkart for an older child are perfect. My daughter prefers Dr. Triggs because she is female. And I second Dr. Safa and all things with Sovereign Medical Group. Best of luck!

Can anyone recommend a good primary care physician in the area? One that is good with elderly people with dementia?
Barbara M. replied:
Medical Multispeciaty Associates. Verdant Ave and Saddle River Road. The Practice includes a Geriatric Specialist (Dr. Sameer Niak), a Cardiologist, (Dr. Brad Herman) and a Gastroenterologist ( Dr. Jeffrey Lefkowitz). They also partner with an Audiologist (Dr. Gary Hilt). My entire family USA this practice as do many of my friends. Very thorough and nice staff. They take most insurance as well as Medicare. Good luxk
Sharon B. replied:
Just a suggestion, you may want to consider a visiting physician. If not now, then in the future. As dementia progresses, it can be more challenging to get to the doctor, and they may get restless in the waiting room. I have no affiliation with the agency in the link, it’s just a group I’ve referred a lot of patients (I’m a visiting nurse) and they’ve had good success. The providers all take Medicare from what I understand. http://www.visiting-physician.com/
