ISO a vet to call I need more info on what to do with my dog. We don't have much money & Petsmart has now decided they don't have the time to call us back, as they are...

Are you wanting recommendations for what vet to take it to, or are you asking for a vet to just give you advice over the phone? Most will not be willing to do that because of liability and also because they would need to physically see your dog and examine her to properly diagnose what is wrong. I understand money is very tight...we have that same issue. BUT if you are willing and able to get CareCredit (explained further down), I can recommend our vet. We see Dr. Maynard of Mad River Veterinary Hospital which is in Springfield. We have seen all three vets at their practice (Dr. Joe Maynard, Dr Nikki Maynard, and Dr. Wolf). When were were there the last time and were trying to figure out how to handle the large bill, my husband saw an advertisement in the exam room for CareCredit. Its a credit card for vet care (and human stuff like the dentist) so you can make affordable monthly payments. He applied on his phone right there and the credit company approved and gave him a confirmation number which the vet then used to issue credit. Since the bill was over $220, we have 6 months to pay with zero interest. If you're willing and able to get this type of credit card, it could allow you to get her vet care she needs and pay over time. I'm not sure what the interest rate is if you don't pay in 6 months, but its worth checking in to. Good luck with your fur baby!

Babs McConnaughay, the link to care credit to apply and see if you qualify is below. I'm not sure what you mean by 'prepare a detox' . If you just mean you're switching her from processed to natural foods then it is good, but if you mean you're preparing some sort of detox-remedy from foods, please try to get the carecredit and medical care for her before you do that as some home-remedies can actually do more harm . http://www.carecredit.com/vetmed/
accupuncture can be helpful with som e liver problems depending on the cause, but i have total trust in Dr. Brett Ellis at Veterinary Associates372*9978. if accunpuncture can help he does it there
Nancy G. replied:
to clarify, Vet Assoc would surely determine the base cause but if accupuncture can help, just wanted to say they do it there, and also wanted to share that I think they do very good general pet care there.

your animal needs to be seen. If you are not happy with Banfield/Petsmart there are several option in and around YS - Hosket in town, Veterinary Assoc between YS and Xenia, and Docton's in Xenia. There are things that can be done, but without seeing the blood work etc you have already it is bad medicine to just prescribe anything. Feel free to PM me
