http://www.yelp.com/biz/pelayos-heating-and-air-conditioning-fairfield I was very happy with Dave from Pelayo's -- he came out after I had a quote from Cal Bay H/A (who kept trying to upsell the lady who just wanted the air back on). He fixed it quickly and he was much more affordable than CBHA.

Several yrs ago we had Greiner replace our a/c unit and it stopped working 2 days out of warranty they wouldn't honor the warranty as most good companies would. I called the manufacturer and they made Greiner come out and fix the a/c unit. After that incident I refuse to use Greiner services ever again. We've since used Air Essentials and they are wonderful. Had them replace our furnace and have had wonderful service since.

Thanks everyone. Had Air Essentials out but didn't get a good vibe. Then we remembered Solano Heating and Air is run by the same guy who runs the pet crematory who was so sweet to us when we lost our two girls, this year and last. Had him come out and he actually showed us cracks in our system so we are ending up having it replaced, but $600 cheaper than Air Essentials offered. As an aside, if anyone needs their pet cremated, they really are the best. Let us be part of the whole process and was there when they went in and there when they came out.
