Vet recommendation for a cat (preferably Midtown)? I adopted my guy Mooney about six months ago and I figure it's about time to go get him checked up on. Plus he has a...

We take Chuck Wagon--our standard poodle--[here.](http://www.yelp.com/biz/plaza-animal-clinic-inc-kansas-city) They have been really gracious and the staff has a great touch with the animals and their owners. They work around your schedule as much as they can. If you have to pick up meds off hours they will leave it with [Nancy next door](http://www.perfectscentskc.com/Default.aspx)--added bonus is that she usually gives you a sample!

We take our 4 year old Boxer to Dr. Hendershot at [Fairway Animal Hospital](http://www.fairwayanimalhospital.com/). They're at 60 th and Mission road in Fairway. They've always been really great with our dog. It's really convenient for us, but some say they're a little more expensive than a few other places. We haven't had any major incidents, but the basic visits seem to be fairly priced. If you adopted/rescued, at least with dogs, they give you a discounted first checkup so long as you mention it when you call for an appointment. Not sure if they do it for cats. It's their way of saying "thanks" for adopting/rescuing.

My family has been taking our pets to Dr. Wingert from the Independence Animal Hospital for years now. Don’t think that man’s met an animal he hasn’t been able to help.

We have had wonderful experiences with Dr. Paul Diehl at KC Vet Care. If it says anything I drive all the way from North KC down to where he’s at. Their office is on Wornall rd. down south.

Hmmmm...Dr Pam Truman at Metcalf South Animal Hospital? She's really nice and has been our vet for 18 years. We have cats but her dog patients and their humans love her, too. Plus she does traditional and holistic if you want to do either or both.:)
