Last June I had a large branch come down on my chain link fence in the back yard. I used Tree Rangers-911. They came out the that very day and even pulled my fence straight and hauled away some earlier brush that we had cut. I don't know if they are the cheapest because I didn't really call around, but they were very professional, fast and they cleaned up extremely well. http://www.yellowpages.com/livonia-mi/mip/tree-rangers-467121641#

Burton Tree Service in Redford 313-363-8527. On a big job today so it may be after working hrs. In defense of them not calling back right away. A good tree climber doesn't chit chat on the phone when hes a hundred feet up. Kinda dangerous.

I asked for company names here and on my personal page as well. I called a lot of tree companies today for my dad. 3 ended up coming out all about at the exact same time, Action 911 Tree Rangers, Bully's Tree Service and PPM. Some haven't called back at all yet. Each time one of the three tree company owners were leaving, another was walking up the drive. All 3 said the tree didn't have to come down, like the first guy did. I like people who are honest. They could have made a ton more by saying it had to be taken down. One was more than the original guy's quote and the other 2 were less. My dad was most impressed with Bryan from PPM Landscape Contractors in Canton. He also gave the best price and could get the job done tomorrow morning. With a huge lead ( It wasn't called a huge branch as I called it.) almost falling on his garage, he didn't want to wait for other companies that would be out in a few days. If you call any tree trimming service, make sure they are insured and call the insurance company the day of the work and double check they still have the insurance. Thanks for all the suggestions.
