There is a restaurant in La Finca golf hotel called Jardines - we've been for lunch and dinner, I would recommend lunch as dinner can be a bit filled with braying golfers! Stunning food though, with really amazing service. https://www.lafincagolfresort.com/en/resort/gastronomy/
Phil H. replied:
Sharon Baxter. I know what you mean. Where would us chefs eat? Very few of the above! Many mentioned are good in their own way, but not a challenge. My friend, who is a great chef has just started at the new Brown's gastro in La Zenia. Their menu impresses me. Will await his comments. Otherwise we both like Meson de la Costa in Torrevieja, or El Gallego in Pilar. Not "nouvelle cuisine" but superb quality meats and fish. Places like La vuelta are competent, but giving the all round experience of setting, service, atmosphere etc.
