Has anyone got any good Brighton restaurant recommendations?

What about the new restaurant that produces ZERO waste and is run by a chef who worked at St John's... what not to like? ! http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/news/first-zerowaste-restaurant-to-open-in-brighton-9602432.html

Susan and Chloe... Curry Leaf Cafe's co-owner is ex Chilli Pickle. Similar approach to food, great menu.

Every five steps there is a good enough/above average restaurant....Food for Friends has been there since I was a chiid (I lived moments away from it in my parents' restaurant...) -and it's definitely stood the test of time and improved..Better to get away from the middle centre though.....Norman Cook took over the cafe on the lagoon if yr walking along the front - (worth getting away from the madding crowds..), The cocktail bar at The Artists' Residence is lovely (and the cafe/restaurant there too....was more day time when we were there in July) and Siam Siam on Preston St if you like Thai....#authentic Enjoy...

Yes ..We had the first Body Shop, the first health food restaurants and shops selling health foods, and the sea!!! Still love it there and nearly moved back a year ago....still consider it as London gets more horrible....Brighton manic now compared to how it was...Food For Friends did go through a 'dodgy' phase (being restauranteers, my parents/we got alll the low down on health & safety etc etc, in the area...) - though it has definitely learnt along the way and stood the test of time. There are a lot of trendy places there - to be avoided frankly...avoid the touristic 'ones' I'd say...:)

The Chilli Pickle for an Indian. Jamies cafe and school in the high street for breakfast. The Coach House in Rottingdean for a Sunday Roast.
