Amelia Hotel at the Beach!! I just stayed four nights there in July and loved every minute of it! There's nothing like staying on the beach!!
Kathryn S. replied:
I've stayed at the Omni resort twice and I've used VRBO / Airbnb twice. I prefer VRBO. It's usually cheaper and you can rent a fully equipped large direct ocean condo / house for less per night than the resort.
Sheri O. replied:
Elizabeth Pointe Lodge or Seaside Amelia

For hotels, Omni is expensive but really very nice. I would also check VRBO for ocean view rentals at Turtle Dunes (part of the Amelia Island Plantation) or Surf & Racquet. Both have great beach access.

Call Amelia Vacation Rentals and check out the condos at Oceans Place. Many are high end and the rates are half the price of the Ritz next door. Can't beat having a washer dryer and full kitchen on vacation.

Look on VRBO.com for a condo or house. Could be less expensive than hotel.
Theresa H. replied:
In the Historic District - within walking distance of all of the shops and restaurants, you'll find six good B&B's. You can get to all of the bed and breakfasts through www.ameliaislandinns.com. If you'd prefer a hotel, the only one in the Historic District is the Historic Harborfront Hampton Inn. Please note that the other Hampton is not in town.

Check Airbnb! I just got a room in kennesaw GA with it, after looking on hotels. com, Priceline, etc and only seeing super 8 s for 100/night all over the state. If you do get a room with them you can use my code www.airbnb.com/c/marinaf149 and it gives you a discount :) good luck!
