The Mobile Mechanic Mike is a good bet if you're unable to get your car to a shop, I saw someone already posted his number.
He does reputable work, but I will warn you that he's flakey. He has made up for this in the past by totally going above and beyond and out of his way when he has shown up and done work for me in the past (he's also much cheaper than other brick and mortar shops). I had a car that I absolutely needed to get fixed that weekend to get to work on Monday and he agreed to do it for me over the weekend and he bailed, MIA, unable to get a hold of with no heads up. Not sure what the deal was.
But, like I said, really nice dude, genuinely does go out of his way when he shows. So, mixed feelings. A good bet if you can't afford a tow though, worth a shot?
There's another mobile mechanic in town (Mobile Medics), haven't used him, I see him all of the time on Facebook slinging shit at Mike (his competitor) and it's really childish, so I've avoided.

Working on vehicles involve a lot of liability so some might refuse if you have a cheap part. Others might refuse because they have a policy regarding using only parts they bought. They mark those up and make profit on the parts too. I’m not sure of any place that would specifically be the most helpful. What kind of truck btw?
