Recommendations for Downtown Tattoo Artists I live downtown so I'd like to keep the work downtown. I need a little bit of color, a little bit of cover up, and some new...

I have gone to two different artists at Birch Avenue and have had extremely pleasant experiences with both. Both Tanin and Jefe have done work for me and I plan on going back. The environment is really welcoming and you get what you pay for. Really great work comes out of that shop. I'd highly suggest talking with someone there in person.

I've got an american traditional piece from Cam at tatfu and my girlfriend just got some pretty intricate grey work done by him as well.

Patrick at burly fish is really good. He did a back piece on a friend of mine a while back and it looks amazing. http://www.burlyfishtattoo.com/tattoos/
Anyone know a place in Flagstaff where I won't have to pay a million dollars for a teeny tattoo, and that is actually good?

There's a Friday the 13 th in April and I think Burly Fish does the $13 special...probably get it done for $20 (that's including a small tip)

I have a friend up here that does tattoos, her name is Chelsey Trice, I know that sounds kindof sketchy but she's honestly good, I don't think her profile is private and she has an album dedicated to her work so you can see it. I doubt she would charge very much for a small tattoo. However, if you are going to Phoenix I recommend Randy Vollink at Club Tattoo in Scottsdale, it may be a little more expensive, but he did mine (a sizable jellyfish on my back) and it is absolutely beautiful. It is my personal opinion that you should be willing to pay more for a more reputable place (E.g. Club Tattoo) for something that will be on your body forever. Not saying it's the only reputable place, just be careful when bargain shopping for tattoos. Best of luck!

If you're going to do it in Phoenix I would recommend Stay True Tattoo (Brando is pretty awesome, but they're a really good shop... period.) and like Alexandra said... Club Tattoo. I would definitely recommend never getting a tattoo out of a shop though, I don't care who it is or how good they are... It is NEVER a good idea.

The way tattoo places work. Is they charge for time and ink. I am guessing maybe $60.: / since its nothing big or complicated. But I would try Tatt-Fu...Burly Fish is expensive and makes u put down a $60 down deposit and if u back out u don't get it money back...But try Tatt-Fu its only $20 and they are friendly and might be able to get u a good deal.
