Looking for recommendations on a good dermatologist. My 12 year old daughter is having skin reactions to almost everything she washes her face with. Thanks in advance.

Most dermatologists have a super long wait for new patients. UC Physicians in Florence, off of 18, has a dermatologist group. I called in August and got right in. I see Seth Stephenson and I really like him. I'm happy I found him. I get a rash on my legs every Fall, and I've seen countless dermatologists. Seth helped me tremendously.
Alison S. replied:
Kristen Kennedy, nurse practitioner, with Dr Zalla is wonderful!

Not that many options around here. Dermatology Associates has been great for our family. Went to Shearer once. Didn't really care for them and never hear much good about them.

Dr Snyder off Thomas More Parkway. She was my third one and by far the best of the three. And it wasn't crazy long to make an appointment.
Elisa H. replied:
Mark Zalla, but be prepared that he has a long waiting list! Worth the wait though.
Lucia C. replied:
Dr Molly Eisner
Lisa M. replied:
Dr. Shearer is all business but a good doctor, if you're ok with getting right to the point but his assistants are great ask to see on of the girls.
Does anyone have a dermatologist in the area they could recommend? I don't have a specific problem; just wanting to go for a general check-up.
June W. replied:
Dr Shearer off of Mt Zion
Amy S. replied:
I go to Dermatology Associates in Florence. I saw a PA named Mae Dinn and she was excellent.
Misty D. replied:
I wouldn't go to Shearer...their front desk staff are the most rude bunch of people I've dealt with. When you call, you'll be on hold forever before someone picks up. If you have a billing issue, forget about talking to the billing person. Messages are unreturned. Clay Shearer is okay...but seems like he spends less and less time with patients. In and out so quick! They schedule way too many patients at once. Typically wait 20 min in the waiting room then another 10-20 in the exam room.
I know this was asked some time back, but other than Dr Molly Eisner, who do you recommend for dermatologist? It's for a family member - I use Dr. Eisner, she's...
Cindy N. replied:
I hear a lot of good things about Dr. Shearer behind Sports of All Sorts.

I like Dr. Clay Shearer, Demia Way in Florence.

Sarah Weinel worked miracles with my son and she is very attentive. She found ways to save us money on meds and gave us sample meds that she knew would be very expensive if we had to purchase on our own.
I need a dermatologist for my son. I have looked all of them but not sure who to use. My insurance accepts a nurse practitioner anyone have an views on her? Thanks

Dr. Shah at Children's. If you are dealing with eczema, I recommend their Eczema Clinic. Children are seen by a dermatologist, an allergist, and if need be, a therapist.
