Kohls is hiring. You can fill out the app online at snagajob.com
Katie L. replied:
Cracker Barrel by GV Mills had a help wanted sign out today. I think if you are upfront from the start about not working Sundays a place will tell you right away if they are willing to hire you or not.

Does anyone know of a regular grocery store in the area where I can buy kaffir lime leaves and dried lemongrass stalks(not the paste)?
Teshani W. replied:
I buy them from Carrolton Plaza Supermarket. Also, they are available at H Mart in Carrolton. Like · 4 · Yesterday at 7:57 pm

Erum A. replied:
Neither Indo Pak on 3040 nor Tharkari will have kaffir lime leaves or lemongrass, these ingredients are not common in Indian/Pakistani recipes. You can find curry leaves there though H Mart will be your best bet
Larrie T. replied:
That would be great! Once I get some I need to just freeze it so I'll always have some. Tom Kai soup
Erin D. replied:
The newer Tom Thumb on 1171 has fresh lemongrass stalks.

We use GardenGrocer.com and have been really happy with them.

I've heard a lot of positive comments about Garden Grocer. We've packed cereal in the past and purchased milk at Boardwalk and Ft Wilderness - expensive, especially in very much quantity.

Go see Mary Hunt at the Flower Mound Pharmacy. She also suffers from Celiac and is a great dietician!

Mary Hunt is awesome and does have Celiac, but she is not a dietician. She is very willing and very helpful though.

Check with Mary Hunt at Flower Mound Herbal Pharmacy. She runs the specialty foods part and is a fabulous resource.

One app is called Gluten Free scanner

Have you talked to your pedi? Our insurance actually covered a visit with a nutritionist or dietician (can remember) for my daughter's hypoglycemia. He was with Cook Childrens in downtown Fort Worth but well worth the drive.

Mary S. replied:
The wine manager at Central Market in Southlake is excellent. Everything he has recommended over the years has been as good as he promised. I've been going to him since the store opened.
Marla B. replied:
You can go to Bear Creek Spirits in Colleyville. Talk to Rex. He is their wine buyer and has an extensive amount of wine knowledge. His goal is to taste 1000 different wines a year. You do the the math!

Costco first, then Tom Thumb or Market Street. We use Costco when we need a big cake and their cakes are really good, but there are limited design choices. We used Market Street for a small cake for my daughter's last birthday and it was great and a fast turnaround.

Melissa G. replied:
Thank you, Brad Largent. I have yet to go to Central Market, so now it is time to finally check it out!

Fresh seafood from the Gulf of Mexico - Capt. Dave's Seafood Market in Plano. Definitely worth the drive for fresh Gulf fish, shrimp, oysters and crawfish (in season). Central Market has a decent selection but very $$$$$

Christina A. replied:
Nicole Nielson Morrissey, I just remembered that Central Market in Southlake always has incredibly gorgeous flowers but they are very pricey in my opinion. They've got the staples but also exotic and hard to find flowers too. You'll pay up the nose for them though LOL ie: last week, they had these HUGE, beautiful, pink Peonies. My eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store until I found out they wanted $6 per flower. I was bummed so I ran to Calloways and added another Peony PLANT to my yard to grow my own. I'll grow my own dang Peonies and keep my $6 per flower, thank you!
