I had this happen to me and my kids on free cone day at Dairy Queen a few weeks ago. We were there at 9:15 and they were closed. Although they close at 10. I was only upset because I made my kids wait! I pushed it trying to avoid the crowd. I made them do homework, chores, drop of a prescription and made them wait the 20 minutes they took to fill... To get there and then be closed 45 minutes before! Much to my surprise... My children felt bad for me, because they saw the disappointment on my face and right before I apologized to them they said "no worries mommy, we don't like this ice cream anyways!" Lol ... They didn't want to hurt my feelings. And we all know that it's definitely not true, they actually love ANY ice cream! ... But something to consider for business owners! ... It's not just the adults' support that you could lose on an early night, but it's the support of the ones that can save the business a whole family that could be encouraged by their kids to come back and give them another try! -sorry this happened to you!
