Sorry, we used Arbortech. Paul Smith 214-994-4115 or Robert Shoemaker 214-445-8319 They did just the trees we asked them to -- it averaged around $100 a tree, depending on the size and what it needed. They were very nice and did a beautiful job. We will have them back soon.

I use Golden Tree for quality rock and stone products for my business and pay retail, but it's worth good product and service. I was actually at a job last week, and got to see them cleaning trees, and as a landscaper, I would use them on my own home to prevent me from having to climb a tree. Job well done.

You should not trim Oak tress this time of year. The exposed cut can allow insects to lay eggs and spread Oak Wilt Disease. Oak Wilt is terminal. Arbological Services may be a little high but they are true tree professionals. They have college grads in the field that can advise you. They just don't cut the branches.

I use Ron Freehling, 817-999-5480. He and his team are great people and reasonably priced; they do excellent work. Ron knows trees very well, is a certified arborist, and can diagnose and treat if your tree is sick. This is slightly off topic but the first time he was here, there was a very friendly stray cat in my yard and I was trying to find a home for the cat (I did.). The cat walked up to everyone of the guys and each one reached down and petted the cat - I thought what nice people! One more reason I use him.

I used Tree Shepherd. They were great. 1.2.Tree was a possibility, but I felt Tree Shepherd was the most knowledgeable about the correct way to prune a tree (I learned there are good and bad ways). I hired Tree Shepherd because they gave the best explanation and were the most knowledgeable (but not the cheapest - 1 2 Tree was cheaper).
