Kim, I stopped using "carpet cleaning solutions" years ago. I found they were leaving residue and not REALLY cleaning (spots returning) I started using my degreaser in my Bissell. What a diff it makes. I use Greased Lightening. (Home Depot, yellow gal container about $8.) I use it full strength, especially on heavy traffic areas
