Just a little info if your thinking of this puppy. While Great Danes do need a couple 20 minute walks a day I've been warned my multiple breeders the dangers of allowing them to run and aggressively play too much due to potential later health issue. They are nick named apartment dogs for that reason. They do "zoom" but having limited outside space does not prohibit you from owning a Dane. Sweetest dog ever. I have a puppy on the way and can't take a third or id love him. ZoomiesGreat Danes will run for approximately 2-5 minutes 2-3 times a day at full speed. We refer to these bursts of energy as “Zooming”. This is normal behavior for a Great Dane, and once you have seen a Zoomie you will never forget it. Just be sure you are out of the Great Dane’s path when they are Zooming, because you could be accidentally knocked over. Once the Zoomies are over, your Great Dane will probably flop down totally exhausted for the next couple of hours. 8. Couch PotatoesGreat Danes are inside dogs. Their size may appear to suggest an outdoor dog, but nothing is further from the truth. Great Danes are very thin skinned and simply don’t have the coat to protect them from the extreme weather elements. So before you adopt a Great Dane be prepared to have the dog inside with the family. Great Danes are pack animals and need to be included with the family. It is highly likely you may be purchasing a couch for yourself because your Great Dane will be taking over yours.

I would call forest city vet in the morning. Dr Pam is very caring and great with her patients. For tonight, I'd try to wrap the leg if possible. If you don't have an ace bandage, I'd tear up an old shirt or something. Just try to make him comfortbale. If you have buffered aspirin, 81 mg, you can give that for pain or maybe a benadryl, 1 mg per pound, to help him sleep. I would also think about crating him for the night or putting her somewhere he can be calm, definitely not anywhere he has to jump. I hope hhe gets better soon!

I highly recommend Foothills Animal Clinic, Cherry Mountain in Forest City. I do rescue and foster and they take care of all my personal furbabies too. Love these loving and caring ladies.

I also recommend Foothills Animal Clinic on cherry mt street. I have took my personal animals and foster animals to them for years. My animals and I have always been treated very respectfuly. My next recommendation would be Dr. Pamela Poteat at Forest City Animal Hospital over near Facebook plant. She is equal in my eyes to the quality of care she gives the pets and their parents. Both have very good prices. Either of them you would do good with.
