If you're willing to send him off I wholeheartedly recommend https://www.facebook.com/274054362717117Dan Burle Horsemanship Co. Near Athens, GA. He is very positive and helps set a horse up for success while establishing clear expectations. Have you reached out to the former owner for recommendations or insight as to whether this is typical behavior? Changes in feed, turnout schedule, ulcers, etc can also cause behavioral changes. I hope you find success together.

Does anyone know a large animal vet. I need one tonight and no one is answering.

Try Tryon Equine. Their emergency number is 828 292-5456. Right off the tryon exit

Call the Emergency Clinic on Reidville Rd. They might know someone.
Stephen M. replied:
Always loved Doc Jameson at Circle T on South Church Street
Joan P. replied:
Linda, Reid Wilkins is the vet we call when we have serious issues with our cows. His wife is a large animal vet, too, and her "specialty" is horses. I think her name is Lindsay.
Spartanburg folks: I'm looking for a good, reasonably priced, veterinarian in this area. My little Bella needs her shots and checkup. Thanks for your help
Cindy A. replied:
It's walk in. You don't have to have an appt. Here's the no. (489-6591) in case you want to check hours.
Todd J. replied:
1-864-641-8132 is Dr. Bells number.
Ken K. replied:
Dr Bell has a mobile clinic that is quite reasonable. Google Bell Farms Vet in Spartanburg. Heartland in Boiling Springs is great but more costly. Have used both.
Todd J. replied:
Dr. Bell the mobile vet is real good. He can handle all the shots and flea meds. He goes around to different area throughout the month.
Charlie W. replied:
Does Dr Bell do wellness checks, worm tests, etc. or just give shots?
Cindy A. replied:
Cherokee County Animal Hospital 716 S. Granard St. I took both dogs yesterday for their shots and it was 69 with both heart worm meds that was 9.00 each.
Dawn B. replied:
Charlie, I use Banfield Hospital which is located within Petsmart Pet Store. They are very reasonable if you buy a wellness plan at $23 a month. Last year the puppy was under the puppy plan and I spent out only $360 for the year and saved almost a $1000 under this plan. It covers all shots, and lab work for routine, discount for emergencies and discount for heartworm/flea prevention tablets.
Does anyone know of a vet that's really good with resonable pricing? In Spartanburg?
Gail K. replied:
I like Spartanburg Animal Clinic:)
Doris H. replied:
If it is a simple problem, with no bloodwork, tests or such, for pricing you cannot beat Dr. Camp in Chesnee. He just does minor healthcare but has no "office visit" charge. Seems to just charge for the medicine, even then at a rate no one else can touch!
Stephanie S. replied:
Westside Veterinary Hospital - we LOVE Dr. Bryant and can't say enough great things about him - he's great with my animals, and prices are SUPER FAIR!!!!
Lynn B. replied:
Dr Warner in Chesnee
Doris H. replied:
Lynn, where is Dr. Warner in Chesnee? Or do you mean Dr. Walker at Paws & Purrs?

Doris H. replied:
Dr. Bledsoe at Animal Medical is my absolute favorite in Spartanburg. He is in the Hillcrest area. His pricing is competitive to the others.....none of them cheap!
Joy H. replied:
There are a few different doctors that do the Mobile Pet Vet services. That's how they cover all of Spartanburg County and other counties too.
Cheryl W. replied:
I can't say enough good about my vet Dr. Heron McCravy at Reidville Road Animal Hospital...top notch but not cheap.
Christie B. replied:
same goes for Heartland Animal in Boiling Springs...
