The OP is a rhetorical question? Our board's PAC chooses candidates to support with RPAC funds, offers many CE classes on varying subjects, has a strong Affiliate membership, does and encourages agents to do local community service, fosters leadership, opens the building for brokerage meetings, is non profit with a relatively small staff, is active in social media and has an AE who is well connected across the country (and is hilarious, to boot). That's just a modicum of the excellence our board provides. The end result if people understand and participate, is a better feel and stronger practice in and for the market and their role as agents.

I have found that often the small associations are more relevant to their members than large associations are to their members. As much as many would like us to believe that one size fits all, often, it just ain't so. I think my friend Terry Penza might agree. She managed the Barrington Association for many years.
