Heirloom photography, Stephanie Hughes is surprisingly awesome and she's super cheap! My cousin works for the Maids and cleans houses on the side! Best yet she only charges $10/hr... Vs... $153 that we were quoted!

Any recommendations on professional carpet cleaners in the FW area? Chem-Dry claims to be "green" and safe for kids and pets. Looking for a second opinion, thanks!
Jamie D. replied:
Dennis with chem-dry of Allen county is a really great guy and will seriously bend over backwards to get your carpets clean. Nate has worked with him a lot. He knows carpet more than anyone should (ha) because he lives and breathes it, so I would call him and ask him a laundry list about anything chemical related. He'll answer them honestly. 466-4983.
I would like to have my carpets cleaned before my daughter is mobile. Are there any carpet cleaning companies that don't use harmful chemicals? Or should I just purchase...
Jessica B. replied:
Ryanne Kees may have an answer to this! Silly FB wouldn't let me tag her. Maybe someone else can?

Carpet cleaning is so important, and is definitely one of my pet peeves when people don't do this piece of maintenance! We try to have ours done every 3-6 months (my husband used to work for Stanley Steemer years ago, so he definitely touts the benefits of removing allergens, dirt, etc). I don't know if Steemer is the best choice from a chemical standpoint, but I was previously told that the rental shampoo units are nowhere near as beneficial and tend to just agitate the fibers and grind the dirt around rather than properly extract it. Kristy Ann Jahn can definitely help you with this question.:) The cleaning company we use only utilizes non-toxic chemicals (but there may be additional criteria you are looking for.)
