Can anyone recommend a shoe repair place in north Fort Worth? GF has some shoes that need repair. Looking for a place in north Fort Worth to get this done. Thanks!

Not in North Fort Worth, [Texas Boot and Saddlery](http://www.texasbootandsaddlery.com/) on the west side did a great job repairing a couple pairs of boots of mine. Not sure what type of shoes you need fixed, but on the wall waiting to be picked up were a big variety of men's and women's shoes.

Realistically, I’m not sure there are are any shops in the USA that the average, non-industry American would just *know* about. My first though was Steve Doudaklian at Bedo’s. He won top prize two years ago (it only happens every two) at the SSIA Silver Cup and his YouTube videos have thousands (and a million!) views. Minas in NYC is what one would consider an establishment. They’ve been there forever and are currently being run by the original owners daughter. My last suggestion is Sandra Verbruggen at Fast Feet in Delaware. I don’t think the shop itself is super duper iconic- but I feel that Sandra herself is well known in the industry. She led the SSIA at one point, assists with SRI, runs the industry Repair With Pink program (for breast cancer fundraising) yearly, etc. Her mother and her run her shops and women are vastly underrepresented in the industry. And fwiw, question isn’t out of line! Happy to shine the spotlight on a career I enjoy, aha.

What a great question. Leddy's here in Fort Worth's iconic Stockyards is fantastic and well worth checking out. They specialize in handmade cowboy boots. http://www.leddys.com

The Sylvestri Cobbler in San Carlos, CA has been there since 1939, and the 2 brothers that started it we’re fixing shoes since the late 1800’s. Family tradition. Benny Sylvestri worked at the shop into his 80’s and it’s still going under a new owner who was trained by Benny and who still does the work the old Italian way. Alan Edmond Co. actually recommended the shop as THE place in all of the Bay Area to get their shoes resoled. So that’s something.
