I've tried to get into Dr. Patel several times. I've been told that she is not taking adult patients, but may well be taking pediatric patients.

Pick and choose practice is a good one to avoid. That is how I felt. I don't feel Dr Patel is patient, always rushed, and usually about 45 min to hour wait every appt.

You need to let Dr. Hummel know how you feel, they need to know why you are unhappy and are ready to switch doctors.

We used to be with Dr. Hummel when he first moved to town, but as he got more popular, it got close to impossible to see him. We then switched to Dr. Patel but we got tired of her inability to keep on schedule. So we moved back to FH Family Practice and see Sal Zummo P.A. and have been very happy.

We used to go to Ali, who my kids and I absolutely adored. Now we see Emily but she has been out on maternity leave, I have been seeing Dr. Sullivan for a few major things and they never call me back in a timely manner and then when they do, it's like I am a burden. I am not here to bash them because they are a good facility. I am just frustrated and seeing what other options i have.

I said the magazine is marketing because it is. I did not say that the doctors featured in it are bad. I think FH Family Practice is great. Maybe you should be more careful before you climb onto your soapbox and assume. And what is "fi" anyway?!

I've been living in Ftn. Hills 9 years and don't think I've ever seen a "doctor" here. I go to Carol Jamison, the naturopathic doctor here in Ftn. Hills. No wait and she takes as much time as you need....I never felt rushed or felt as though I was a burden to her. She's located at Smith Family Chiropractors on Saguaro.

Lol, don't get me started on Dr. Hummel & some of his colleagues at the hospital. I would keep in mind, that one person's experience w/ someone does not mean you will have same experience.

Been going to FH Family practice for years and have always had a great experience. I have seen both Dr. Hummel & Sal Zummo and find them both to be professional, knowledgeable, caring and friendly. They're busy for a reason, they're good!! Picking and retaining a Dr. is a subjective experience. I'm sticking with Hummel!!

I have been seeing Dr. Hummel since he started his practice here. I would not go anywhere else. Sal Zummo his PA is also excellent. And for emergencies I have had good experience with Walgreen's walk-In clinic.

Dr Nicole Sundene is the best. Note: She does not take insurance.

Sal Zummo is great. If I got something really serious going on I see Matt Hummel.

North Scottsdale Family Medicine (NSFM) It is out of FH, but great doctors!

I go to Dr. Summers at FHFP and think he's great. I also go to Dr. Tim Loving.

Ftn hls family practice Dr Hummel on palisades.for primary / fountain hills family Dr Dellios on palisades and Ave of ftns.been using them since dr gray for 22 yrs the best.continuing education all the time nothing they can't do good luck.

Agreed - in general, I HATE the American "health care" system and have not had any/many good experiences in 26 years! Dr Summers has been the exception. For the first time, I have reason to trust that someone is NOT just pushing pills, but is actually listening, finding root cause and helping solve!

May I recommend Dr. Dana Weinreich- Family and Cosmetic Dentistry:) Orthodontist Dr. Charles Wait sees patients out of our office once a month also. Stop by and take a look- we are located next to the Saddle Bronc on Saguaro. (480)837-1315

Dr. Marc Sullivan is excellent family practice doctor and dentist Dr. Dana Weinreich and staff are awesome

Dr. Porter is the best dentist. But no sedation... He's not afraid to do any dental work because he's been a dentist forever. No getting sent all over for extractions or root canals. Confident, fair, fast. He's old fashioned too which makes it an interesting experience.

I use FHFP. Dr Summers is really good and I find he listens well. I will say I miss Ali Johnson his former P.A. She was the only one I trusted to care for my son. She was just awesome. I miss her dearly. If Dr.Hummel happens to read this....pay that woman double to come back!!!

Julie- Dr. Patel but her PA Christine Sikorski is awesome too. We have Dr. Sundene who is a Naturopathic Physician in town too !!! She is good too:)

Thank you Jennifer McCaskey - I wont tell everyone how awesome Dr Patel is since I am biased, but I will add that Dr Patel is dual board certified i.e. Internal Medicine AND Pediatrics. Also Christy Sikorski is my go-to for health issues, and she is fantastic.

I won't name the Dr office but I too was billed for extra time with a Dr only I was told by the front desk that "I was to watch the doc's time or I would be charged". (Not Patel's office) I do not believe that is my responsibility and I was not the one talking. I can't stand our Medical system.

Perhaps mentioning it to Dr Patel. I have heard great things about her and am thinking on changing over from who I see now. My doc's front desk/assistant is the rudest I have ever come across.

I can recommend Dr Sundene as well! Great doctor, takes times and listens to her patients. She does not take insurance, but her fees are not that expensive.

I love Dr Sundene. But when she hired her office help, she kind of went on a time clock with her patients and I am not even sure she knows. I have been with her over a year and never had a problem with time. She took as much time as she needed to which was awesome. My last visit I was told by her help that I was to watch the doc's time or pay for it.

FYI...it is in the scheduling part that you let them know you are there for your annual exam. Under ObamaCare, there should not be a fee for this. Secondly, if I went to ANY physician who wanted ME to watch the clock, I would find a new doc ASAP. ...See More

I would NOT recommend FH Family practice unless you like being over prescribed. It's a shame we don't have more of a choice here in town.

Fountain Hills is a great place to live. I moved here after my kids graduated from college.Find other moms who have kids your same age...church, sports etc. One liability of FH is that the sidewalks roll up at 9:00 pm. ;-)

And Jennifer Marcell, as you must have noticed, MOST of us Fountain Hillians are kind and considerate of others. I'm glad you reached out on here, I enjoyed reading all the recommendations and I have lived here for 10 years!

Dr Dana weinrich fabulous dentist!

Since I absolutely despise the health care (or sick care) system in this country, I very rarely go to medical doctors. I go to Dr. Jamison, who is a naturopathic physcian here in FH. She takes all the time you need to listen to your concerns and although insurance doesn't cover her office visit, it's worth it to me to have a a doctor who is actually going to listen to me and not prescribing medications.

I go to Dr. Dana Weinreich as well. He is a great dentist. I went to Dr. Porter once several years ago since he was the only dentist on my insurance at the time. Bad experience, I would NOT recommend him. For a family doctor I go to Dr. Hummel, but I usually see Sal Zummo. Always easy to book an appt. there even last minute. Great if you have kids.

Todd, I have been a patient of Dr. Summers for three years. He and I have good communications on all levels. Any concerns I have had have been addressed in a timely manner.

Todd, Dr Summers has helped me with chronic pain problem. My old doctor was a pill pusher. With the help of Dr Summers I was able to get off the opiates I had been on for over ten years. Together, we have worked toward my current state of one prescription, non - narcotic, which helps tremendously. He has listened well and helped me achieve my goals. I hope you have found a physician that affords you the same.

Dr Hummels office. Great care and they take the time to listen and get to know you. I would recommend Dr Verne Willard as dentist. Excellent!

Dr Patel is dual board certified i.e. a Pediatrics doctor and an Internal medicine doctor (=smart cookie + student loans).

North Scottsdale pediatric, Dr Whitehouse has been taking care of my son since birth

Dr Patel is a female, correct? Dr. Hummel is male.

For a dentist out here - if your insurance accepts them. North Scottsdale Children's Dentistry (Scottsdale) and they are in the same office with the orthodontist who we LOVE. If not, we like Loving Family Dentistry her in Town. We never went there when my son was smaller but by son has Aspergers/Autism and the hygienist has experience with people with this diagnosis. I know you didn't ask for dentist but that's usually next lol.

FH Family Practice for adults - Dr Hummel or Sal PC are awesome.

Dr Hummel is great with my boy. My husband and I see Dr. Summers. Again..if he sees this..pay Ali triple to come back!!!

Dr Whitehouse at North Scottsdale Pediatrics. We love it there. I went there and saw Dr. Fischler from birth until going to a regular practice. So I'm beyond excited to take my daughter here and they've done an amazing job with her. And definitely Dr Hummel for PCP at Fountain Hills Family Practice.

Try Dr. Summers at same practice. He is wonderful!

Fhfamily practice Dr Hummel. But take Lil man to north scottsdale pediatrics dr Megan Whitehouse she's awesome. There on ironwood and 2 nd St by hospital! !! Even have Saturday appts .

Emily Nelson PA-C at Hummel's office is great with kids and adults.

North Scottsdale Pediatrics for the kiddos. So awesome! Just a quick drive down Shea by the hospital, great hours and availability, and wonderful docs.

Dr. Jyoti Patel at Ftn. Hills Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. Our whole family goes to her, plus her wonderful PA, Christy. Two kids and 6 adults. She has two kids of her own as well. She was a "Top Doc" too!

I'd recommend taking the kids to a pediatrician. I took my first born to Dr. Hummel's office and they weren't familiar with the immunization timeline and had to look it up. I'm sure he's a good doctor but for my kids I prefer to go to someone who is more familiar with all the "little" things about kids.

Dr. Hummel! My daughter goes to Emily Nelson who specializes in children and she works in his office. She is on maternity leave right now but she is the best. Dr. Sal also sees her and he is great too. I've gone to Dr. Hummel's office as a kid and love them.

I love Sal Zummo PA with Hummel group they do family care, always can get in great and get what you need with a busy lifestyle. When baby is sick no fun to drive all day.
