You could try to look for Wedding Events in that area (Bridal shows, etc) and see if they list the vendors that will be present. If you can't make it to the show you would at least know if a vendor is local and that would save you the traveling delivery fee.

My wedding cake was made out of cupcakes and I brought a picture to my local grocery store and they made it. Believe it or not, Super Center walmart makes awesome wedding cakes now too. Maybe an option, someone may just have to pick it up. No one even knew where mine came from
