Don't have any suggestions out that way but a friend recommended this one recently when I was asking for another friend: Dr. Julia Sturm at Wellspring Holistic Vet Care. 3900 10 Oaks Rd, #4, Glenelg. 443-535-0252

Vet tech here. Tip Me Frederick and the AWL are both really good options. They work with a lot of the vets around town. Check with them to see what your options are for payments. If you go through either of them, they usually get a discount for vet services; services aren't free. They also have the traps you need for the cat. I'd recommend using the trap even if he acts friendly, since you don't know where this cat came from or if it has been vaccinated. It also provides safety to the vet/techs for when they go to sedate him for his surgery.

Friends of animals offers discounted neutering certificates. (Or they did when I got my dog spayed). No additional charges for her other than her cone of shame but it was because she was already current on shots. You can look on the website to see if there are vets local that participate.

Definitely pick someone with experience in Trap Neuter Return so they’ll understand how best to help you and a cat with an unknown history. Thank you for helping the cat.

We love, love, love West Frederick Veterinary Hospital! As we've moved around the county we've tried closer vets once or twice -- a truck full of carsick beagles will do that -- but we have never found anywhere we've liked half so well. Good luck with your search!

Dr Cooper Williams is my hands down recommendation for all performance maintenance and issues. He comes this direction occasionally. But, trailering to him would be worth it. Best of luck! www.peaceofminddressage.com

Cooper is great. If you're up for a road trip though, Kevin Keane in Cochranville PA is awesome - he's a 4-star level eventer as well and is great with performance horses!

Dr Cooper Williams vote from me as well!

The race track vets at Valley Equine see about every kind of ailment. A couple days a week Dr. Casey comes up to Valley too and he does chiropractic and acupuncture as well as veg med.

By the way, I left my contact info in case you need to use our place as a hub. Dr Cooper is always welcome here.

I have a puppy that needs surgery...does anyone know a vet thAt takes payments for this?
Sue M. replied:
If you can qualify for a Care Credit card, then you can pay with that. Care Credit charges no interest for up to 18 months, so it's just the payments. Just be sure your vet accepts Care Credit (most do).
