April Kelly - I've used Jersey Appliance and have no complaints except for the $80 service charge. My Bosch freezer has an ice maker that might need follow-up service. Can I mention your name/are you an owner? smile emoticon Thanks.

"we normally stick it to our customers but if you use my name, we are among the friends and the service call is less than a third for you" is kind of admitting $80 is very high. I do not want to ruin it for these people who would take advantage of thi s price break. But why do not do this for everyone and get appreciation. $25 is very reasonable because of the gas price to go someone house and give the quote. $80 is really making additional profit even you do nothing if the customer cannot afford the repair. I always a suspicion for this kind of high service calls because if the job is difficult, the repairman gives the high price and come back from the house call with the quite nice profit even he does absolutely nothing. You may say what about the time he spent going there. It is the nature of business. I am also acknowledging that April is trying to be good to people who used or thinking of using Jersey Appliance. I can certainly understand how Shalu feels about reading this.
