A. Perth is an amazing outdoorsy family place. Whether you love sight seeing, fishing, 4 x4, sand boarding, it's great for all. To do all that in the one place I would visit Lancelin. Not knowing what your interests are, I would strongly recommend Margaret River. There's heaps of fresh local produce, markets, sights, caves, experiences, theres even a chocolate Factory for kids and wineries, cheeses and breweries for adults. A farm stay would be great for kids too. Good Luck.

Could anyone recommend a great restaurant around Freo, Cockburn, Melville etc? Thanks muchly :)
Josie B. replied:
The Wine Store in East Freo looks funky and modern without being too posh. Haven't been for dinner (yet) but brekkie and coffee is good.

Tabella is good Italian! (next door to Ginos), Bib&Tucker down on Leighton beach was great & right on beach. Copper Chimney on South Tce very yummy curry!
Kelda L. replied:
I second Bib & Tucker, Barque on George street and Vi Pa Thai in Melville. Also - there is this great little South Indian restaurant opposite The Cove on Canning hwy. The Cove is great too, but this little tucked away place; cosy, cas, good value, really yummy food.
