I highly recommend Family Pet Hospital on Sunnyside and Herndon. I have been a client for over 20 years with no complaints and lots of compliments and praise to Dr. Singh. Wonderful staff, extended hours, love it there.

South Valley Vet in Selma. Dr Hatayama is great but I heard he is retiring.

We made an appt for Dr H in Selma and didn't even make it to the check in desk!!! It was so terrible we left and went to Kbg Vet and it really wasn't that much more.
Theresa V. replied:
I just want to say as an ex -vet tech.. How unprofessional of those girls at KBG vet to talk negative about any other vet hospital!!! I don't care if it's true or not!! You don't do that!!!! Yes The place has its issues... Mostly I blame it on the Vet Techs! They have a responsibility to keep "their house" clean!!! As far as the services, my English bulldog has had surgery there and they did a GREAT job!! Dr. H is an AMAZING Vet! It was hard for my husband when Mr Myers Left, He was more family to him then a Vet. We still reach out to Steve when he's on duty but I've entrusted my babies to Dr. H when he isn't.
Maria B. replied:
Is Dr Kamaldeep Gaheer still at Kingsburg vet, I found great comfort in dealing with him, after all others gave up on my lab skin issues.
Terri H. replied:
We've been to Dr Hatayama several times and haven't experienced that bad. Dr H has went above and beyond to help all our dogs.
Melody W. replied:
Their prices have doubled since Dr. Myers left. Selma has always been cheaper then Kingsburg before Dr. Myers left but now it's waaay cheaper. The wait is long and the place could smell better but the Dr. at South County is top notch. On par with Dr. Myers, IMO. Kingsburg vet raised their prices because they could. When I lived in Fresno I still drove my dogs to Kingsburg and Selma vets because the cost was significantly less. My senior small dog had a few teeth pulled out and a cleaning and it was over $600 last year in Kingsburg. This is the same place that put pins in her leg after being hit by a car and kept her for 2 days for $300 a few years before. I can't even imagine what that surgery would cost me now!

I posted this before but will post again as it is very much needed. I take my Bassets to Dr. Yoo, Shieldstone Pet Hospital and Eye Specialist 222-2800, and also Dr. Johnston at Pet Medical Center, 436-4444. I go to these vets from Kingsburg maybe several times a day or many days in the week depending on what we are dealing with. We also go to one of the number one opthomologists in the U.S. in Stockton. My feeling on traveling as I do is I can spend money on dinners for my family and purchasing nice things for our family then my dogs who are members of our family go to the best that I can find, and in the end I know that if there is a sickness or such with one of my dogs I have done everything possible to attack the sickness, no regrets. My dogs also have Pet Insurance which they all have had since they have been puppies, which also helps. I do not negotiate on my dogs on their health. And to be honest they have better health insurance then we probably have. I am sure all vets are all qualified it is how your relationship is with your vet and the office staff. They all know how I am and how I am with my dogs and we are treated with the utmost respect and bedside manner. Vets are not cheap and they are getting more expensive with all the technology that they have had to purchase. Look at Pet insurance to help with the cost and find a vet that you feel good with, and when there is a problem they will find the problem not sorry we just dont know whats the matter and leave it with that, that is not exceptable in my eyes.

Hands down south county in selma. However even with an appointment be prepared to wait and hour plus! I have always supported the Kingsburg vet until recently, I really like Dr. Nichols. The girls at the Kingsburg vet front desk are not personable and their office has priced me out of being a pet owner. They are double to triple the cost of selma. I am not super crazy about the Dr in selma I feel like he rushes me sometimes but his staff is great!!!
Terri K. replied:
Dr. Nicholas at Kingsburg Vet.
Crystal W. replied:
Kingsburg Vet has a new vet her name is Dr Lane. Took our pup last week she was on the ground talking and loving on him so that he would relax. Treated him and spoke with us for over 15 minutes about our plan of action. Then she called the next day to make sure he was feeling better! It was so refreshing to have a younger dr that really care!!
Melissa O. replied:
Dr Emily Lane!! Our dog just had sugary yesterday at Kingsburg Vet, we have always gone there in my 37 years with any of our pets growing up! They actually worked with us on costs a Little and guided us thru our options for our sweet fur baby having tumors! Comparing it to family and their vet costs it's actually much less then a lot pay in other cities! Emily was super helpful and down on the ground taking to our Lucy and made us feel very comfortable, I had heard she was good and we really liked her!

Fresno great vets. Shieldstone Pet Hospital -222-2800 corner of Blackstone and Shields Dr/ Yoo,wonderful people, and Pet Medical Center off of Herndon and Ingram behind Walmart on Fallbrook. 436-4444 great vet Dr. Johnston, very very good and finds the problem when there is an issue, no guessing
Friends, who is your favorite, reasonably priced veterinarian in the Fresno area??
Jonathan N. replied:
All Creatures are much more affordable, but Abby is a great Vet Hospital, if money isn't an object. Drug costs are comparable, but Dr visits and shots are market price.
Melissa H. replied:
Sheild Stone Pet Hospital is extremely reasonable and very kind. Dr. Yoo is our vet, but everyone there is very nice. They are on Sheilds and Blackstone.
Jimaie S. replied:
We go to Dr. Suda, he's super affordable and a fantastic vet http://www.yelp.com/biz/michael-suda-dvm-fresno

I don't know how reasonably priced they are but we've been with Abby Pet Hospital for years. Very compassionate, always given options that take in consideration costs.

All Creature - Dr. Caan is my go to guy. He really helped our dog Seamus fight through a case of Valley Fever. In and out, IVs, tests, medications all were very affordable.
