Does anyone know where I can purchase a Japanese woman's bike, the kind with a basket in the front, with 1-3 speeds - cheap? Doesn't have to be new but does have to be...

I got mine from joyful, but it was about $200. I'm not sure if they are cheaper elsewhere, I didn't shop around. I know there are a few bike shops around the fussa area. Maybe check atmybase.com for locations of other stores?!

Jessica Faulkner Bull, the Mall that I think Amber is talking about is the Mall on the way to Costco. Go out the Fussa Gate and turn right. Its on the left hand side of the road a little bit past highway 5. There is a sign that says "LIV" on it. I've never been but it looks large enough to have at least 3 stories. Happy shopping. BTW, I finally got a bike at the recycle center and it cost 6000 yen. Came with a basket, a headlite and a key lock.

Jessica Faulkner Bull, I went to the recycle center out the East gate. The one that's basically behind the Yokota Hospital.
Does anyone know of a place to buy bikes that are affordable off base with the kid seats or is joyful honda and cainz about it?

My husband and I got our bikes at the Fussa Recycle Shop for $50 each. They had kids bikes at the time. Like someone else said, they come and go. But it seems that when they do have bikes, they have a TON. Worth checking out!
I'm looking for the baby bike seats that fit on a Japanese bike (I have two little ones so I need a front and a back). Has anyone seen these? Are they at Costco,...
