Looking for a good tailor: Suits/leather jackets Can anyone recommend a good tailor for suit alterations? I also have a leather jacket that could use some tailoring....

Ridgeway Alterations in downtown Silver Spring. He's located inside city place mall. His work is absolutely top notch and his prices are fair. I've used him for years - uniforms, formal wear, coats, and a custom job where he restored, restyled, and rebuilt a coat for a gift. If you're traveling to his shop, I recommend calling beforehand. Sometimes he goes to the fabric store and closes shop for an hour or so.
I'm looking for an expert tailor for Allie's prom dress. It's a weird curved chiffon thing, and I'm afraid I'll ruin it if I try to hem it myself. Recommendations?

A good designer/seamstress can do this for anyone with special fitting needs and many consider it a privilege to make their clients feel like their best self.
