I second Vinny Vannuchi's in Galena for casual lunch and dinner (though the last time I went it was not as good as my previous visits). Good sandwiches and pasta dishes... There's also a Vinny's in Dubuque, but not as good as the original. Pepper Sprout Cuisine is the go-to fine dining spot in Dubuque. I'd also check TripAdvisor.com for reviews.
