Mark Hannah out of Olathe. He will expect a retainer fee up front, as most would. And he isn't going to be your cheapest. If you find someone that is too cheap, you will get what you pay for and likely, your sisters case won't get the attention it deserves. Be careful and go to their websites and look for reviews..

Lawyers charge by the hour. Best way to keep it cheap is to do a lot of your own paperwork and research ahead of time. A half hour asking simple questions on the phone can cost a few hundred dollars. I used divorcedads.com... i forgot the local law firm but since i did a lot of the research ahead of time i was able to use a junior partner and saved some $.
Anyone have recommendations on a child custody lawyer? It's an easy case for sole custody, I'm just looking to get it on paper without spending a fortune.

I used Carly Boothe in Olathe for my divorce which involved a minor child.
