I consolidated my debt and all of my credit cards were all paid off and in a timely fashion. My credit was in the low 500's and now it's almost 700. Not the best definitely an improvement! I can't remember the name of the company I used... Possibly CCCS. They were in olathe off of 151 st and mahaffie I believe.

Kansas women's business center in Lenexa has a great program. They lend you something up to 500-1000. Its through 3 different types of credit, but you only have one payment. Over 6 months of three different things reporting that you paid on time, your credit score soars. They have this partly tho help women qualify for business loans, but I don't think you have to have a business to participate.

What Charlene said, it it's uncontested, you can file cheap. If it is not a divorce and still be friends, you don't want the Dollar General Attorney. You'll regret that decision longer than the marriage.

Lewanna Bell-Lloyd did my divorce case several years ago. Wonderful, smooth process. Whatever you do... do NOT choose Stacy Schlimmer. Read ""all'" of the reviews on her. Unfortunately, my partner made a mistake and hired her, after her not showing for court dates, failing to communicate with him, and then not answering any calls/emails/certified letter, nor ever being in her office...he ended up paying another attorney a separate retainer to represent him. Just forewarning. We're not the only ones that's happened to.
