There are two JM Furniture stores in Carson City and they carry different items.
Chris J. replied:
JM Furniture is my recommendation, but don't write off Big Lots before you look. Big Lots sometimes has some very good quality furniture for reasonably inexpensive.
Any recommendation for a quality furniture store in Reno or Carson, that won’t break the bank?
Suzanne C. replied:
Thanks for the heads-up about Pottery Barn, that's ridiculous. I love Lazy Boy Furniture it's fantastic quality, completely customizable and really durable, you'll be happy with it. I sure love mine.

I was always told, with furniture, you get what you pay for! Lazy Boy is our favorite and the JM store in SOUTH Carson has some really nice stuff. Never bought there but a friend did twice.
Donna W. replied:
Thought I’d share this too: My grandfather built Ethan Allen furniture, still one of best on market. And I agree: you get what you pay for. - here’s a tip: flip the piece upside down (yes, ask the salesman to do this before you buy) and look at the bottom construction. Best to see bottom springs tied to frame somehow: gives longer life to the piece. 8 way hand-tied is best. If it’s covered, ask salesman about construction. If he doesn’t know and no one else can answer. avoid purchase. Might want to go to a quality store and do this first to see what you are looking for and then begin your shopping.
Grace B. replied:
Sounds crazy, but try Big Lots in Carson. Nice furniture, but without the higher cost.
