Libby - Check CraigsList. It's a shame that people list their dogs there, but sometimes that's where we find dogs that need rescue. Also, check PetFinder.com and Petango.com - a lot of the municipal shelters list their adoptable dogs there. When my husband and I first started fostering for SPIN, I was shocked to find out how many Great Pyrs get picked up by animal control as strays, and even get surrendered by owners. A lot of the dogs that we rescue are pulled from local "pounds" or city shelters. Several of them have pages here on Facebook. Where are you located? Maybe we can help point you to the shelter page that would be most convenient for you.

Here's a search I did on PetFinder - looking for Great Pyrenees within 100 miles of zip code 75455: http://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?animal_type=Dog&pet_breed=Great+Pyrenees&location=75455&distance=100 - It lists 77 dogs right now, many of them Pyr mixes, but many of them look like true Pyrs - some beautiful dogs in shelters and with some rescues.
