Try care.com. They have prescreened caregivers with background checks and everything. Typically starting at $12/hr for CNA's or less for "friends" to keep company. I hope all goes well for your parents.

Call 704-827-0772 M-F from 8 am-4 pm to apply. Also if you plan to challenge the exam you must be registered by February 29 th because NC is doing away with challenging the state. After this month anyone who wants to get their CNA certification will have to attend school.

I'm really shocked to see everyone saying they have crazy high deductibles premiums or co pays under obamacare. We have had several different plans over the last two years and it's always been 60$ a month no deductible no co pays really cheap meds etc and we make decent sized salaries? It must be different for individuals that don't have dependents to claim I'm assuming? I mean we only have one and he has his own plan with United health care and it's still great as well?

Obama Care????? Hello no one is listening
Donna L. replied:
My husbands Obama care just went to 441.41 a mo.just for him who can pay these premiums and pay your other bills Obama care is a joke.
Alyssa J. replied:
And if he's paying the full price of $400 ish then that's about right it's the same as what he would be paying through an employer. I don't think people realize exactly how it works. Obama care is just standards and regulations that have been applied to existing insurance companies and a way to help pay towards to premiums. These insurance companies and still privately owned and operated and they make their own pice. They get their money one way or the other their price is set by THEM
Deb E. replied:
exactly Alyssa Johnson, but until the hospitals and physicians are no longer allowed to be huge profit making enterprises as most othe countries do not allow, they will continue to bilk the system at the expense of lives. They can charge whatever they want. The Heathcare Program is trying to make this practice fair and just for all individuals who need healthcare, but can't afford it.
Tj P. replied:
Your exact statement says Obama care is responsible for rising premiums.
Lynne L. replied:
Michelle Smith, some doctors make adjustments for cash pay. Dr. Adelekun in Kings Mtn. only charged my son half. Ask around, most insurance companies only pay the physicians a percentage, so some will make a better price for self pay cash. Have you checked Highland Health in Gastonia? Pretty sure it's a sliding scale fee.
