Steve Connelley in East Geelong has been brilliant with our son. He had his first haircut there at about 12 months old and has been going there ever since. For 5 years he screamed when he had a haircut and Steve was always incredibly gentle and patient with him. Now it's a treat to go there although he's still uncomfortable with hair cuts.

Roger Blackwell is the meander Valley vet who has the dental cert now, Pip from there did too but I think she's gone and one of the others is now starting teeth (don't quote me on that but I wil ask Roger tomorrow)
Nadine A. replied:
God knows how horses survived 30 years ago I have seen Shannon and Roger work and am very impressed with both. Pip (also a qualified vet) did two of the fosters here, again, all good. Also heard extremely good things about Kim Pringle (who takes a vet with her on her jobs) I have used Andrew (also his father Bill), Lenny and dear old Dad for years. I can even float ones teeth myself in an emergency. Horse I had out on lease had a horrific job done by warwick. That about covers the northern waterfront I think?
Dimity H. replied:
He might be Biff but since the vets did the course last year both up north and down south there are a number of vets who are now accredited. Meander Valley Vets have two qualified, one guy from the NE and one from the NW ... not good on remembering there names
Amanda B. replied:
How long was the course that the vets did with Dr Shannon? does anyone know?
Caroline N. replied:
like Shannon Lees work, great horse dentist and it is shame there are not more of him
Meghan W. replied:
Thanks Rachael, so that would be Certificate of Equine Dentistry
Kerry W. replied:
I'll just put it out there...would YOU walk into a dentist let him shove his hand in your mouth, have a feel around...not use a light or a mirror to check EVERY SINGLE TOOTH & say hey I'll think I'll just pull out those 3 jagged ones out up the back....I DONT THINK SO...BUT you'll do it to your Equine Partner!!! None of these Dentists check every single tooth in your horses mouth!! So how do you know if your horse has an infected...impacted...dead or decaying tooth...simple YOU DONT!!,
Rachel H. replied:
Len Dixon is a qualified horse dentist hence why I get him, he also told me one on my pony teeth were decaying from him packing his check with his food, was wondering why my pony breath stuck really bad. He's amazing wouldn't ask for any other horse dentist!
