Are you in to Japanese food? Sapporo is also good because of the small portions you get. Children usually love this. You should bring things for them though, to keep them busy if you to stay longer than the children can handle. ;) Mine loved it. http://www.sapporo-gent.be/

Oh yes they are closed on weekends:D Try Tasty World on Walpoortstraat (its somewhere near Vooruit/walkable from UFO Or maybe Lekker Gec which is opposite to the train station when you cross the fountain:)
