PaPa Pauls secret BBQ sauce on pork and chicken and Aunt Katies biscuits ..... but the thing I miss more than the best food was Uncle Paul throwing up his hand to greet you with that big old smile telling you to come on in and sit down as he carried his menus always with a great story to share and Aunt Katie behind the register willing to help anyone who needed a hand! That is what made Lafayette the best and one of a kind! Those memories will never fade.

When I was with the Sheriff's Dept., many times we would go to lunch at the Lafayette. A bunch of Law Enforcement people from Sheriff's Dept, City Police, Wildlife, Judges, Lawyers, etc would eat at the big round table there.
