Texas Road house is a must in Garden City . Call ahead seating if possible . They are always busy ! A walk on the board walk down on the inlet is good . Very crowded in the evenings . Market Common is a must see . Hope you have a great visit .

Gios Italian Kitchen in Pawleys Island is a wonder Italian restaurant. If you have a chance go to Brooke Green Gardens in Murrells Inlet. Also spend the day looking at all the gardens they have and they serve lunch.

Jason Fetter, I came to the Murrells Inlet area full time in Dec/2014. We came from NY too. We have been vacationing here for years and decided we would relocate here when an opportunity presented itself. Unfortunately, after 26 years, my husband was forced to retire so we left NY. There are a number of great places here to eat such as Greg's like someone said earlier. Gulf Stream is another, Franks in Pawley's Island and Bistro 217 are awesome fine dining establishements and worth every penny. There are some that have great early birds that are worth the visit. Great Italian food is The Original Valentinos in Surfside Beach. I am an active Realtor here in the Myrtle Beach areas of SC after being am active Broker in NY for 27 years. If you have any questions r concerns about the area, please feel free to PM, call or text me and I'd be happy to help. You will have an awesome time here! Welcome!!

Greg's on Thursdays for ribs!! Can't be beat. Right on Hwy 17 business near Walmart at the Garden City Connector. Dead Dog Saloon on the MI Marsh Walk is good too but a bit pricier than Greg's. Greg's is not fancy at all but the food is really good. Got to see Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington State Park beach and wildlife refuge. If you like just laying on the beach, Garden City Beach offers free parking and is usually less crowded than the other beaches.
