Yeahhh, don't get jewelry from Hot Topic. It's junk. Go see a reputable piercer. They can custom order you fancy stuff from places like [Anatometal](http://s3-media3.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/XFJVXOtZV3ZTAl3CfmeEPQ/o.jpg), [BVLA](http://67.media.tumblr.com/4 cdcca9 d111977 de12501 e014 d86 d58 c/tumblr_mvanpzezrt1 rh9 vfko1_1280.jpg), [Industrial Strength](https://www.diablobodyjewelry.com/images/IS/ISTiOdyssey11_12_14FauxpalCabGemSeptumClickers16 g14 g12 g.jpg), etc.

If you're willing to shell out, Maria Tash is my favorite septum jewelry company. i bought a 14 k gold clicker a few weeks ago and it's my favorite piece to date.

Your local reputable piercer... :P If you legitimately don't have a good piercer near you, you can order Anatometal and IS online through BAF and Steel Navel. BUT they have a lot of shitty jewelry. Look only at the brands recommended on here. Are you looking for horseshoe, cbr, clicker or any particular style of jewelry?

"Titanium" isn't any better than "surgical steel" realistically. If you believe you're having an irritation from your jewelry , I'd take no risks and make sure you're getting a quality piece of implant grade titanium and have it well fitted by your piercer. Best luck!

Jewellery Advice Can anyone give any recommendations for good hoops for a conch piercing? I can’t find anything but ear cuffs atm. Thanks y’all :)
helaqueer replied:
[bodyartforms.com](https://bodyartforms.com) sells some good jewelry. it really depends on what type of hoops you want though. ~~if you click septum/nose on their website it will show you some different types of jewelry~~ personally I like clickers. edit: sorry I mixed up two different posts but clickers are still a good option for conch piercings

My favorite clickers are the tether ones. Kinda spendy but I love them all.

Maria Tash clickers are good(so I've heard, no personal experience. I've bought a couple clickers from Zadamer jewelry and they're very secure. Great quality stuff and I think they're fairly reasonable. There's some cheap clickers by Invictus on bodyartforms.com but they're not the best quality as far as uniformity goes. I have 6 of their clickers and 2 aren't the same shape and the hinge mechanism isn't the same tightness on the majority of them, but they're all decently secure for the most part(a tug on them will unclasp them but will stay put otherwise; two do require much more strength to open them than the others).
Dxlyaxe replied:
I have two clickers from industrial strength and have had no issues. I find them comfortable. Also have a circular clicker from Maria Tash and it looks cute as hell and is comfortable until it comes time to get it out. It is the hardest thing to get open and I always end up with a sore nose after but it is definitely secure (wore it for three months nonstop with no issues)

Anonymous replied:
Bodyartforms.com is where I buy all mine. They have a huge selection, tons of high quality jewelry, great prices and lots of sales. Stay away from cheap jewelry, especially plastic, acrylic, and cheap painted metal, otherwise you'll have very unhappy and unhealthy piercings!

Are you looking to get your ears pierced or earrings? Your phrasing is confusing. What type of earrings if it's earrings (there's a lot of different kinds out there)? Lastly go to a mall?

Could it be your aftercare? Maybe there's something Constantly irritating your piercings? If you're dead set on getting something else, try implant grade titanium. I wouldn't waste money on gold jewelry on piercings that aren't healed.
SampleOfNone replied:
Did you have your jewelry downsized? If not, that could be a contributing factor. And I would advice you to go see a reputable piercer to determine the perfect size for you. Steel contains nickel, what could be a contributing factor. Implant grade titanium would fix that.

I would try bodyartforms.com But on another note, if you have metal sensitivities and can’t wear anything but titanium/niobium/14 k gold I would suggest popping into your nearest reputable piercer and asking them anodize some titanium! It won’t be black, but they have some pretty dark colors that may work for you!
