https://www.facebook.com/168755436468007Community Montessori School (Georgetown, TX) is an amazing school with a beautiful campus and a curriculum that encourages responsible discovery.
Brandi M. replied:
I second community-montessori.org!! We've been there for over 5 years and I can't say enough good things about it!! Passionate guides, beautiful campus, child-driven learning in all age groups. Once a month they hold "Prospective Parent Coffee's" where you can learn more about what Montessori is, tour the campus, and speak to the director about enrollment. Just visit the website and RSVP if your interested!!

Another vote for Primrose Georgetown. Safe, curriculum-based, healthy food every day, and a splash pad!:)

My son has been at Kids R Kids in Teravista since he was 4 months. He is now 4 years old. I actually have worked as a developmental therapist in preschools so I had really high standards! I also needed a place that went past 2:00 because of my work schedule. I love the balance of play and learning they have. They use their own standardized curriculum which incorporates a program called Brain Waves. They have just started Handwriting Without Tears for their PreK writing curriculum which I am a huge fan of! They also do Kindermusik, Gym Station and offer dance, gymnastics and sports as well. They have the most wonderful playground spaces and an onsite splash pad during the summer. They also offer Watch Me Grow which is a camera system in each class, playground and cafe so I can look in at any time and see what my son is doing in addition to daily notes and pics.

I have lived in Churchill Farms for 7 years now and love it. Right off the toll road and easy access to 35. Short drive to the downtown square area. We have a gated pool and nice playground including a "Little Library" the elementary librarian had built. Well maintained and a LOT of law enforcement residents. Lots of sidewalks and locked mailboxes section. Mitchell Elementary has a sidewalk from our neighborhood to there. They have a public prek which I believe you qual for as an active duty family. They are building a beautiful middle school right next to it now. Churchill Farms I love it here. Halloween is fabulous and brings in a lot of people! Christmas time is my fave, so many people put so much time into their decorations. We even have our own neighborhood Santa on the corner each night to take photos and you wish to. I can't speak highly enough about my neighborhood. My daughter went to First Baptist Church weekday education for 3 years and LOVED IT. Wonderful program, low ratios, very affordable. They have a huge indoor playground too. PM if you want to ❤

Grace Episcopal is fabulous! My daughter attends there, and I. Ow teach there. Small class sizes, teachers who really love the school and their kids, an excellent headmistress...really excellent all the way around! We have a few military families as well. We bought in the Teravista neighborhood and are really happy with it, and it's fabulous amenities!
James Y. replied:
If you are military, the drive is SO much better to Ft. Hood since they widened 95. You dont go through florence anymore either. Tickets were nuts through there. Wilco is still on the road but its 70 pretty much the whole way. It would take me 45 min on average to get to work. Depending on what unit, I can tell you guys all the short cuts to get on post and around traffic. Ft Hood was my first duty station in 94, and my last in 15. Also a great place because Austin is BOOMING for jobs.
