Anyone have recommendations for a doctor that can see if my son has asthma...a pediatric allergist?? (Not sure if that's what they are called)? He gets bronchitis quite...
I love Traci Arney at the above location. Her and her husband are wonderful people.

Dr. Dwayne Wong with Arizona Allergy Associates is fantastic!! My daughter has severe food allergies, asthma, and used to have eczema and he treats her for all!
Susan L. replied:
Dr. Shimamoto far superior to Dr. Wong... who we left! santanallergy.com
Susan L. replied:
I don't like doctor's who don't listen to parents... I can tell you that Dr. Wong does not listen. He misdiagnosed my daughter and we went over two years without getting the proper treatment for her. I understand he is a doctor and I'm just a mom, but I know my child, I'm good at research and guess what, I was right and he was wrong. Dr. Shimamoto for sure!

He needs an allergist (from the sounds of it) Dr. Panesar is fantastic but he is not an allergist. Dr. Shimamoto is and is equally good. Good luck. Asthma is a scary condition!
Shannon L. replied:
I have never never never had an issue with Dr. Wong not listening to me regarding my daughter and we have been seeing him for over 9 years. There are 2 Dr. Wong's, Darrell & Dwayne. I am not sure who Susan saw for her daughter, but my experience is absolutely opposite of what she is describing. My niece is also a patient and of his and has been for years.

Dr. Wong at Arizona Allergy associates.
Lisa I. replied:
Dr Hellmers at AZ Allergy is who I see.
Susan L. replied:
All I can say is the National Institutes of Health suggested I find a new allergist/immunologist Shannon, as his diagnosis was very wrong and he wouldn't listen. Sadly I know many SN moms who've experienced the same from any doctor at that office.

Dr. Stuart Agren-Offices At Dana Landing, 3048 East Baseline Road #122, Mesa, AZ 85204 Phone:(480) 827-9945 He has been in Mesa for more then 25 years...
Kyla M. replied:
As a nurse I would personally take my child to a pulmonologist and go from there. They can do allergy testing and refer you out for additional testing if needed I've had patients who use Dr Panesar and he's great to work with. Allergies can trigger asthma, but it is an airway disease and good management with a provider you can trust is important. Good luck.
AZ L. replied:

Have you thought about a naturopath/chiropractic allergy dr.? I took my infant to see one and he was able to determine root cause of her reflux and stomach issues. He sees all ages and addresses many issues, including asthma ( becomeallergyfree.com )
