Can anyone recommend a good place/site to estimate the value of posters? I have a healthy collection I need to get insurance on.

I recently had a flood that ruined a vintage toy collection I had...The Insurer requested a list of items and for cost estimation I used eBay as a standard...This was a renters insurance policy though...and the renters I got through my auto insurance carrier. I'd ask your auto carrier/broker for suggestions

From what I recall about trying to have my movie poster collection insured - the insurance company I spoke with would not take my word for the value of my posters, even though I am clearly an expert on that subject. They wanted each poster individually appraised. Maybe things have changed. The vast majority of screen prints are not valued as highly in terms of $ as vintage movie posters, so they may take internet information to value a $300 screen print. I've had movie posters in the $5000-$10,000 range - probably require further confirmation from a third party. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2011/10/19/business/choosing-experts-to-appraise-collectibles-and-valuables.html?referer=
