Since no one else has said it... I recommend not doing it because it's [pseudoscience nonsense done by not-doctors](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiropractic).

My dad and I both like The Joint. It’s $70 a month for 4 visits and a chain so you can go to any location. They don’t do anything fancy like X-rays but they’re nice. I no longer live in the area but go to the location near me and have been to the Short Pump one.

I suffered for several years with back pain due to multiple herniated discs, facet arthritis, and stenosis. I tried everything for pain relief including massage, yoga, physical therapy, steroid injections, and ultimately, multiple surgeries.
I understand your concern about money but please do yourself a favor and get an accurate diagnosis so that you can get the correct treatment. This is likely going to involve seeing an ortho doc or a neurologist (and a neurologist is a better choice). I’m happy to DM recommendations if you want them. An MRI is going to show the nature and extent of the problem and allow you to tailor your treatment appropriately.
If you’re unable to do that, then at the very least, consider setting up a consult with a PT who can work with you on strengthening exercises that may delay or prevent further injury.
My PT is Direct Access Certified, meaning you do not need a referral or prescription to be evaluated or treated at the clinic. She’s been a gift to me over the last few years and I genuinely don’t think I’d be walking today if it weren’t for her.

I went to the ortho on call for similar back pain. It ended up being spinal stenosis and a bulging disc (actually 2 different issues, one immediate, one long term). They'll do an X ray and write you a script for the days the pain is worse. They will also direct you to an Ortho doc in the event the pain worsens. Personally I ended up going to the On Call, who sent me to Ortho Virginia, who sent me into PT, who sent me to get a cortisone shot in my spine. The bulging disc healed while on the shot. During this process I ended up purchasing a Tens Unit muscle stimulator (mine is made by Omron) on Amazon. $45, but on bad mornings it's the only thing that gets me out of bed. I loved it so much it ended up being my favorite Christmas gift to give to family that year. I would start there, it feels good.

My fiance went [here](https://goo.gl/maps/cikMzD9CJwSMD46 g7) last fall and seemed to like it. They offer a flat fee for a month-- she did one month and was feeling good enough to go backpacking (haha) and hasn't needed to go back (lol)
