Georgina gave you the square scoop: do as she suggested. I work for Norfolk Social Services. The fulcrum of failure in the scenario you describe lies within Social Services. However much you may empathise with their very real predicament, the only way to help your Dad is to PUSH them. Also arrange a meeting with your MP.

Mary Lockhart it might not be ideal but there is a lovely group in Blairhall community centre called Blether Together for the elderly. It's run by 'recycled young ones' for slightly older and less able. They meet on a Monday. Home made lunch, games ( age appropriate) sing along & a good blether. If you thought it was any good I'd get you more info.
