Can anyone recommend a great veterinarian for my fur babies in the area? Currently we go to a place in Cranston but looking from something closer!

Definitely North Paws on Putnam Pike in Smithfield. Dr. Paradise, the owner, has a heart of gold and a wonderful, loving staff.

Thank you everybody! We actually just left North Paws because one our cats had alittle accident trying to get over a baby gate. They took us right in and were super nice! As far as cost it was only $8 more than what my vet charges for visit and it really impressed me that the Dr that we saw didnt jump right into doing an XRay like most ER vets would. I will be checking into these other places for prices. Thanks again!
Bryan D. replied:
Glad you had a good experience Denise! A nice side note is the huge surgery center they built onto the back of the building a few years back so if your pet does need something major you don't have to wait and try to get to Ocean State Vet either. They did amazing work saving one of my now deceased dogs too.

I have been going to Animal Hospital of Putnam on Kennedy Dr. in Putnam CT for at least 15 years and I like them so much. When I was looking for a new vet I called around and asked for prices on office visits, routine vaccinations, spaying and neurtering and Putnam had the best prices. When you have lots of pets it makes a huge difference. Price is what got me there, how good they are is what made me stay. They also do grooming there. If you are on the West Glocester side of town, Putman is a good option.

If you are looking for a Homeopathic Vet, my neighbor Laurie Lofton on Joe Sweet Rd is excellent.

Northern RI Animal Hospital is in N Smithfield, not too far

Dr. Graham at Greenville Animal Hospital is the best ! And he is reasonable too, not always trying to get you to buy into pricing testing, etc., just a good straightforward old school vet. He sits on the floor with my dog when he exams her because she doesn't link to be on the table. Love him
Bryan D. replied:
NorthPaws Veterinary Center on Rt. 44 in the Greenville Section of Smithfield. It's awesome. Husband wife tandem with an excellent and caring staff. Great facility too.
Robin C. replied:
Oneill at scituate 647-3500.

If you have healthy pets who need general care I recommend SNYPP clinic in Pascoag. VERY reasonable for basic health care, minor surgery, as they are associated with the Humane Society. No ability to process blood work on sight. For a more challenging less healthy pet I recommend Ferguson Animal Hospital in N. Prov. Told me to come right over when I had an emergency for a pet not even in their system yet!
Deb D. replied:
Charlene Pendergast Tocco so glad you have had positive results with SNYPP. I how ever would NOT recommend them. For me to get into why is to long to type here but the treatment I got from the staff was appalling. She was very rude to me and even swore at me. If thats how they treat humans who can react I can't even begin to imagine how they treat an animal that can't speak. Won't be back there anytime soon. I have gone to the foster vet clinic with great results and my dog is treated like their family. I have also used Northern RI animal hospital. Although a little pricey the care is top notch!!
April Y. replied:
Snypp has a NEW Doc Torey Tyrell he is terrific he found a hernia that was operable on my daughter dog when North Paws did NOT. She took him to North Paws when she got him for a check up and not only was the hernia missed they never even lifted him to check his stomach and a couple of other things (minor) were pointed out by Dr. Tyrell that North Paws didn't not mention. So I understand the not good at Snypp but there is a NEW Doc and prices are very different
My husband, a vet, is looking for a local place that is giving vets free breakfast tomorrow morning? Does anyone know which local restaurants are offering free anything...
