Does anyone know of a good canine physiotherapist in the Guildford/Surrey areas, someone capable of accurate diagnosis and treatment for a possible back injury.

http://www.surreyvetphysio.com/index.php/contact-veterinary-physiotherapist very good
Katarina U. replied:
A physiotherapist will treat not diagnos that is up to a vet to do, if you suspect back injury ask for a referral to a specilaist no physio should attempt to treat without appropraite investiagtions have been done. Noel Fitzpatrick is in your area and are excellent and ahve all the right expertise.
Christine B. replied:
Katarina is of course correct but assuming you have referral from vet, you could try Emma or hannah at Theravet in Fleet - very good. www.theravet.com
Becky S. replied:
Yep I use Emma at Theravet Veterinary Hydrotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre
Jackie B. replied:
Can highly reccommend Fiona Doubleday at the rehabilitation centre at Fitzpatrick Referrals, near Godalming
but Katarina Ullsten is right - a physio will not diagnose, you need a vet for that, the physio will treat once you have the diagnosis
Fran B. replied:
maybe you would be better off seeing a chiropractor for apossible bak injury - i would see a chiropractor first, then amybe a physio if needed, I go to a McTimony chiro - Chevington Chiropractic clinic in Bletchingly 01883 743355, they are brilliant
Does anyone have a recommendation for a Physiotherapist that can either do a home visit or offer advice over the phone and who doesn't charge extortionate fees to do so?...
Sams S. replied:
Bevan Wilson have been brilliant and because there are several practitioners, they can find the one to suit you. I had lower back problems (very severe) but they have worked an absolute miracle and the pain I had suffered for years has gone. http://www.bevanwilson.co.uk/
Debbie A. replied:
Wayne Chester-Davis is outstanding! remember everyone is entitled to their opinion as to who is the correct practitioner for their problem, there is someone out there for everyone's medical problem, it depends on what suits an individual. I am a Sports Therapist (now retired) and over the last 25+ years in practise have become very open minded regarding that. Patients in pain are grateful to be helped and want a 'quick fix', but do not always continue with treatment/rehab/exercise/advise and preventive maintenance when they feel better.
Lucy S. replied:
Nic Langlois at lucks Yard he is a miracle worker for backs
Nick C. replied:
My friend Wayne Wayne Chester-Davis has a practice now on catteshall road- Sainaburys end. http://www.chiropractic-healthcentre.com/about-us/
Nick C. replied:
I also use Bevan Wilson for physio, but for Chiro, Wayne's the Don!
Amanda C. replied:
Jane or Becky at Backtogether Physio - brilliant, and I'm a remedial massage therapist so may be able to help settle the muscle fascia down and help the pain
Claire-Louise E. replied:
Rob Butler is a fantastic physio! Hope you managed to speak to him.
Kerry P. replied:
Tone at Lucks Yard is amazing, and they have a team of specialists there aswell. Worth a call.
