Can anyone recommend a good, kind nhs dentist locally (for a nervous patient) who is currently taking on nhs patients
Stephen S. replied:
Try Elinor Japp at Cromwell Place Dental Surgery - St.Ives 01480 462563
Alison B. replied:
We use The Broadway Dental Surgery. The Broadway, St Ives 01480 463169 I'm unsure about if they are taking NHS patients but they are brill with the kids
Roger L. replied:
I'd go with Mr Baker as well, very friendly and relaxed. I've always gone to the dentist, but hate it.
Yoko ç. replied:
All my family go to Wensleydale in Huntingdon. Kids and husband see Mr Wolf as nhs patients. He's very knowledgeable and super friendly. I, on the other hand, am a private patient there and see Mrs Zachrisson who is just perfect for nervous patients like me. Private treatment is slightly more expensive but in combination with private insurance policy it's not so painful financially and it offers more choices and flexibility when you need it.
Does anyone know if emergency dentist is open at hunchingbrooke hospital?

Yep, Huntingdon dental practice, been going there forever!! Always lovely and NHS too
Julia T. replied:
If you are not registered with a dentist and need urgent appointment because of tooth ache then if you ring the dentist at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in the treatment centre or maybe even just go up there, they will see you same day. They are extremely helpful and very good.

Majud Kordany at astutely Meadows. Brilliant with children and nervous patients.
New to area and looking to register with dentist, anyone have any recommendations? X
Julie W. replied:
It is fairly difficult to find one. I left Wensleydale because I was spoken to appallingly by the hygenist, he did not have good patient care on his mind. I go to Anchor Dental Practice now. They are thorough and so far have dealt with my needle phobia really well, very patient with me. But I have only been twice so far.
Don't know if anyone can give me some advice on this ....... I've been quoted a price of £3000+ to have repair work done to a large bridge which I had put in 3 1/2yrs...
Kate P. replied:
Thank you very much for the advice. I do have an appt with my NHS dentist at The Acorn Centre in Huntingdon this week, so shall speak to them. I think they do private dentistry als. Shall I ask them?
Quote of the week - whilst visiting my dentist for a regular check up. The dentist exclaimed on looking at my dental x-rays "You have the bone density of a 30 year old".
Does anyone know of any local dentists that are taking NHS patients on? I have tried Huntingdon Dental Care but they have refused and also Wensleydale Dental practice...
