we have the same problem as Peter Ingason sounds like we may have the same style of house too. Our house was built by Barratt homes and we have had the worst nightmare. The garage has been leaking through the roof (where garage joins house) down the cavities and under the floor in the Kitchen and spreading through into the dining room, its so bad we have to move out for 3-6 months just waiting for the insurance company to come back to us with accommodation over the next few days. This could of been happening since the house was built around 18 years ago and leaking straight down the cavities without being noticed! What the problem was is in the roof the felt was underlapped instead of being overlapped . They have also sorted the lead flashing so water doesn't run down the side of the house. Once I get the report back from the roofers I will be contacting Barrett homes! I could type a even longer essay about the roof and leak lol Feel free to inbox me. I have many photos of the leak in the roof etc Really hope no one else has the same problem as me
