Lost Acres is unbelievable. If they can't, Harvest in north Simsbury is great for things like that. Fitzgerald's also does great custom work. Sweet Beet has terrific vegan treats.

Cake Gypsy in Canton is amazing. I don't know if they do custom cakes (they do wedding cakes, but I mean I don't know if they do like children's birthday cakes), but the Italian bakery in Southwick (can't think of name) is very good.
